Another meeting of the Management Board of the Polish Volleyball Federation (PZPS) was held in Jastrzębie-Zdrój, during which a number of important decisions were made, such as for instance selectiion of a small group of candidates to become coaches for senior national teams.

By means of a resolution of the Management Board of the Polish Volleyball Federation, Krzysztof Ways was elected the Disciplinary Spokesman of the Polish Volleyball Federation for the 2021-2025 term of office.

Marta Lipińska spoke today at the conference "The Year of the New Public Procurement Law" elaborating on a public procurement contract according to the new Public Procurement Law.

This is the third and at the same last day of the conference, during which public procurement experts present issues related to the functioning of the new regulations 12 months after they entered into force.

Although it happens quite often, completion of real estate tax returns raises problems, as applicable regulations do not clearly specify what to do if we want, for example, make an adjustment to liability as a result of which the tax will exceed the PLN 100 threshold. How to calculate tax installments in such a situation? This question is answered by Sebastian Gumiela, tax advisor who, together with Adrianna Młynarczyk created a guide on "Practical aspects of submitting real estate tax returns”.

We have the pleasure to inform that Piotr Świstak and Tomasz Krzywański have joined the group of GWW partners.

Piotr will handle the development of tax security and compliance practices. He will be in charge of the implementation and development of solutions ensuring safety of the management board members and corporate officers in the field of liability for tax reporting obligations, with particular emphasis on the risk of penal fiscal liability. His activities will also include continuation of the work on  digitization of this area.

Tomasz, hand in hand with Aldona Leszczyńska-Mikulska, will be responsible for the development of the advisory practice for wealthy clients (private client practice). He will focus on providing advice in the field of ​​business succession. Tomek will be mainly in charge of asset-related planning with the use of foundations and trusts – especially the Polish family foundation.

We wish them both good luck and plenty of successes in their new roles!

The 13th edition of the largest Polish conference dedicated to financial and accounting staff of public finance sector units will take place from 29 November to 1 December. It will be held in Hotel Copernicus in Toruń

On the first day of the conference, an expert on public procurement in EU projects, Grzegorz Karwatowicz, will discuss the impact of financial corrections on the financial settlement of an EU project.

This year's Conference of the Lower Silesian Regional Chamber of Architects held at the Wojanów Palace was devoted to issues related to the digitization of the investment and construction process. It included discussion panels relatign to key problems that emerge at various stages of the investment process.

Ms. Dorota Cabańska, acting Chief Inspector of Construction Supervision, was invited to the meeting and presented key issues regarding the implementation of the next stage of digitization.

Also Joanna Sebzda-Załuska, GWW partner, was invited to participate in the event and she discussed the most common, from the designer's perspective, problems at the stage of obtaining administrative decisions. Ms. Joanna Sebzda-Załuska also took part in an expert panel related to the procedure of obtaining an occupancy permit for building structures.

In principle, the Public Procurement Law does not allow for the retention of a bid security after the expiry of the bid validity period. This results from several factors, including the very nature of the bid security itself. The National E-Invoice System will start operating starting from the new year and from 2023, its use will be obligatory. The amendment, which has already been signed by the President, introduces new obligations and the necessity to provide much more information about the transaction.

Local governments will soon have to use electric and gas-powered vehicles – this is certain in the light of the new Act on Electromobility.
