Labour and social security law

The rapid development of new technologies, including artificial intelligence, migration of workers and the entry of Generation Z into the labour market is having an impact on employers’ needs and employees’ expectations. It is increasingly important for business development, as well as for employees themselves, to ensure that the legal conditions of employment and the working environment are appropriate and secure while taking into account the changes taking place.

To meet this, we advise our clients on the full spectrum of individual and collective labour law and social security issues. We provide a high quality service, combining legal expertise with knowledge of practice and market needs.

We observe the changes taking place, draw conclusions and propose possible solutions.

Within the scope of our practice, in particular:

  • We draft and provide opinions on employment contracts and other employment-related contracts, including civil law contracts (mandate contracts, B2B) and management contracts.
  • We draft and provide opinions on internal company acts, such as work regulations, remuneration regulations and remote working regulations, among others.
  • We advise on the choice of the optimum form of employment for managers and prepare contracts in this respect.
  • We advise on the employment of foreigners.
  • We prepare contracts and internal regulations protecting the interests of the employer, including non-competition agreements, confidentiality agreements, policies regarding the protection of confidential information and procedures to counteract mobbing, discrimination and other negative phenomena in the work environment.
  • We conduct employment law audits and assist in due diligence processes for workplace transfers.
  • We provide day-to-day support to human resources (HR) departments on matters related to labour and employment law, including changing employees’ working or pay conditions, imposing disciplinary sanctions, maintaining employee records, protecting personal data in employment, granting and exercising employee rights.
  • We advise employers on employment restructuring or rationalisation processes, including group or individual dismissals.
  • We provide legal assistance in the process of transferring all or part of an enterprise to a new employer.
  • We advise on the processes of outsourcing services and the employment of temporary workers.
  • We support employers in their relations with trade unions, works councils and employee representation.
  • We represent employers and employees in employment-related court disputes, including, inter alia, cases for reinstatement or restoration of previous working conditions, compensation, payment of remuneration for overtime work, establishment of the existence of an employment relationship, claims related to an accident at work, about the basis for assessment of contributions or being subject to social insurance.
  • We represent employers during inspections carried out by state authorities, including the State Labour Inspectorate or the Social Insurance Institution.
  • We provide tax advisory services in the area of employment (e.g. from the employment relationship and managerial contracts).

We regularly conduct training courses for executives and managers and human resources (HR) departments, in particular on:

  • rules and procedures for the termination of employment contracts,
  • mobbing and discrimination in employment,
  • working time,
  • accidents at work,
  • leave and parental rights of employees,
  • company social benefits fund.

The scope and form of training are tailored to each client’s needs, and we use examples to provide participants with broad and practical knowledge.

If you need assistance in a matter of labour law or social security, regardless of whether you are an employer or an employee – we invite you to contact us.
