GWW TAX the second most effective tax firm

The GWW tax practice, run under the brand GWW Tax, was second in the “most effective tax advisory firms in 2012” category, in the large firms group – according to DGP.

In this year’s 7th edition of Dziennik Gazeta Prawna’s ranking of tax firms and advisors, the tax practice of GWW, run under the GWW Tax brand, was placed fifth in the category of “Most Effective Tax Advisory Firms 2012” in the group of large companies employing 10 and more tax advisors. Only companies from the ‘big four’ were ahead of it.

– This years position in the Ranking is an objective confirmation of the leading position of GWW tax practice on the Polish market, as the place in the “most effective firms” category was decided based on hard facts, such as revenues on business activity, effectiveness handling disputes in front of tax authorities or the number of qualified advisors. Such spectacular success is down to the entire GWW Tax team, whose assets comprise knowledge and experience, cohesion and transparency within the scope of client fees as well as a flexible take on problems with which we are approached – said Andrzej Ladziński, GWW Tax managing partner.

74 of the best and most dynamic advisory firms on the market took part in the VII Ranking.

Act on promoting the growth of telecommunication services and networks

Three GWW Legal partners are the co-authors of the commentary to the “mega Act”, published at the turn of 2012 by C.H. Beck.

The Act on Promoting the Growth of Telecommunications Services and Networks has received its first analysis and a practical discussion, to a large extent due to three GWW Legal partners – Wacław KnopkiewiczJoanna Sebzda-Załuska and Jacek Wilczewski who have co-authored the Commentary to the Act published by C.H. Beck.

The publishing house, as well as telecommunication industry experts, are aware that this commentary is unique because of the authors. In the forward to the publication, Anna Streżyńska, former OEC President, wrote that we are handed “a comprehensive guidebook“, and its authors “guarantee in depth and all encompassing take on the subject“.

The commentary fills a significant cognitive gap (the short time of the “mega Act” being in force means that, in practice, there is no case law) and concerns an act that is considered difficult, as it contains regulations referring to numerous fields of law and encompasses all market players (some, like the public sector, are situated in a completely new role).

New address of the office in Poznań

Okrąglak is currently one of the most modern office buildings in Poznań, with its original oval shape distinguishing it from other projects. GWW’s Poznań offices currently take up an area of almost 400 sq. m., located on the building’s 6th floor.

– When looking for new headquarters for GWW’s Poznań offices, we took into consideration a number of factors such as location, functionality and the building’s recognisability and prestige. The revamped Okrąglak meets all these criteria. It has long been one of the symbols of Poznań. – says Krzysztof Wysocki, the GWW Legal partner heading the branch in Poznań.
