The 9th edition of the Developer Days, the most important business event of the year for the development market, will be held on 23 September. The conference is a platform intended for sharing knowledge and experience of representatives of the development industry, entities cooperating with it, local government units, experts and analysts.

 

We are proud that our law firm was invited to participate in such a prestigious event. Attorney Joanna Sebzda-Załuska, GWW partner, Investment process practice supervisor, will take part in a panel devoted to analysis of factors influencing the cost of a square meter of residential premises.

A draft version of the tax part of the New Deal programme adopted by the government provides for less stricter rules on applying the flat-rate taxation to foreign revenues. The first version of the regulations provided for the necessity to use a foreign certificate of residence, which in many cases might not be possible. Following our publication, the Ministry allowed using other documents instead of the certificate.

The general meeting is considered to be the most important governing body of a joint-stock company. This is due to the fact that this body is composed of shareholders. However, is the general meeting entitled to issue binding orders to the company's management board regarding the conduct of company's affairs?

On 14 September 2021, on the basis of a resolution adopted by the Meeting of Patent Attorneys of the Subcarpathian District of the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys, attorney Michał Tuszyński was unanimously elected the Dean of the Subcarpathian District of the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys, while patent attorney Krzysztof Pupa was unanimously elected Deputy Dean of the Subcarpathian District.

InternetBeta is a conference where various environments related to the Internet and new technologies may meet. Over the years, it has become a cult event, considered by some as the only one of its kind.

It is already the 17th time that the Dziecięca Fantazja Foundation, in cooperation with the Warsaw Zoo and the Panda Foundation, has organized the "The Evening of Dreams" for seriously ill children. This year's event turned out to be a great success, which left happy memories in the hearts of all the little participants and their parents. We are glad that we were asked for support and had the opportunity to become a partner of the initiative that brings joy to the children who need it the most.

The Dziecięca Fantazja Foundation is a Public Benefit Organization whose mission is to bring joy to the lives of terminally ill children and those struggling with life-threatening diseases by making their innermost dreams and fantasies come true. The Foundation takes care of children struggling with cancer, birth defects, genetic and chronic diseases.

The conference entitled "Tax Rollercoster or the everyday life of accountants and tax advisors" will be held on 6 October. It is intended for accounting offices, accountants and tax advisors who face many problems related to frequently introduced legislative changes on a daily basis.

The conference agenda will include topics such as:

• effective management of an accounting office,
• New Deal: changes in the rules of payroll settlement, calculation and settlement of health insurance contributions in PIT, income tax credits and exemptions,
• SLIM VAT 2 package and e-invoices,
• review of the jurisprudence of administrative courts and the Court of Justice,
• expert debate: Legislator's declarations and intentions versus reality – a couple of reflections on the state of tax law in Poland.

VAT expert, Małgorzata Militz, will lead the panel: Review of the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice.
