In today's article at Law.pl, tax advisor Krzysztof Czekaj discusses VAT changes that entered into force yesterday (1 September 2019). In the article, we will also read about changes that will be implemented us in November and January.

– While the idea of ​​these changes is correct – tightening the VAT system and eliminating entities that can potentially be part of the system used in VAT frauds – the application of these regulations may cause problems also for honest taxpayers. We may imagine a situation where the taxpayer settling quarterly fails to submit the tax return within the deadline and gets deleted from the VAT register the day after the deadline for submitting the return – since the regulations do not provide for a deadline by which the deletion should take place, it can happen even one day after the deadline for submitting the return – emphasizes Krzysztof Czekaj.
