Support for healthcare workers participating in the fight against the epidemic
The Dorastaj z Nami Foundation, of which GWW Law Firm is a partner, supports families of public servants on a daily basis, including by financing educational scholarships for children or offering psychological care. Now it is expanding this activity and extending its support to medical workers fighting COVID-19 and their children. The Foundation will provide medical staff with, among other things, psychological help line, free legal advice, and discounts on fuel.
According to data of the Chief Sanitary Inspector, as many as 461 doctors, nurses and medical workers in Poland are infected with coronavirus, and 4.5 thousand are quarantined. Every sixth confirmed case of infection concerns a healthcare professional. Unfortunately, on 16 April this year, a first medical worker died in Radom, namely a 46-year-old physiotherapist infected with coronavirus. Within the framework of the extended scope of activities, our Foundation will take care of the family of the first fatal victim of coronavirus among healthcare professionals.
