Legal 500 – 2013 edition

This years international Legal 500 ranking, which summarised 2012 and was published on 27 March 2013, the GWW team of lawyers providing legal advice to the telecommunication, media and new technologies (TMT), was the only one that received the highest scores and came in first place among the best tax advisors.

 

This means that, in the opinion of B2B and competition sector representatives, GWW has the best TMT practice in Poland.

Our TMT team has been described as “exceptionally effective” and appreciated for the “arsenal of skills” at its disposal and its “phenomenal knowledge of regulatory issues”.

Individual recognitions within the team were awarded to:

 

1. Piotr Woźny, thepartner managing this practice, who has unfailingly received the title of leader for a number of years. The edition underlined his ‘incredible business intuition’;

 

2. Rafał Duczek, attorney at law, partner, indicated as a recommended lawyer. Has a great feeling for market conditions and understands the essence of the telecoms business;

 

3. Wacław Knopkiewicz and Wojciech Krupa, partners, were also indicated as recommended lawyers in the field of TMT.

 

In this years Legal 500 ranking edition, GWW law firm also received recommendations in six leading fields of law:

• Energy and natural resources law;
• Intellectual property law;
• Dispute resolution;
• Real property and the Construction industry.

In classifying firms and individual specialists, the achievements of particular firms and lawyers are taken into consideration and then consulted with the legal profession representatives, including competing companies and representatives of businesses operating in the industry in question. Every year the biggest and best law firms present in Poland, both those with Polish as well as international capital, take part in the Ranking.
